There is something magical about the idea of finding a local swimming spot that feels as though you are the only person to know about it. However, taking a visit to Crystal Cascades and Josephine Falls and experience the wonderful surroundings and the most amazing freshwater swimming experience in the rainforest. This might be a short drive from Cairns but it is certainly worth the trip.

The coffee shop scene in Cairns is one that has grown in size in recent years and with many independent, trendy cafe shops on offer, you will be able to grab a cup of coffee while benefiting from the many different food options on offer. However, if you want to experience gorgeous food and great wine, the head to The Esplanade where you can experience real Greek food infused with an Asian twist.

Market Shopping

There is something strangely alluring about Market shopping and the Saturday Esplanade Market is great for finding Jewellery, clothing and many other local products. The Friday Night Market in Palm Cove is another great experience as well as the Holloway Beach Markets and the Tanks Market where you can find stunning food and a great vibe. Rub shoulders with the locals at Rusty’s where you can sample local produce, all available at a great price.
