Demi International has flexible options for you to achieve your Beauty Therapy qualification.

This flexibility ensures that our courses are suited to people of all walks of life. You might choose to spend the year studying or to continue working while you are studying. If you live a long way from our campus you may prefer to part time.

Diploma of Beauty Therapy (SHB50115)

Our most popular and highly recommended Beauty course is the Diploma of Beauty Therapy. It has been designed as a high level qualification for those wishing to operate as a beauty therapist, employing staff and managing a beauty salon. The course allows students to learn the latest beauty industry techniques and to further expand their skills to a Graduate Certificate in IPL and Laser Hair Reduction or university studies in paramedical aesthetics. This is the most highly regarded of all Beauty qualifications.

Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy (SHB40115)

This certificate course is designed to develop the first line management skills of those working in the beauty industry. It provides skills for coordinating or managing the services within both a small beauty salon and within a section or department within a larger store. It is a comprehensive course; however we encourage students to complete the Diploma of Beauty Therapy to obtain a full knowledge of Beauty Therapy, as the Certificate does not include, Micro-dermabrasion, Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage or Days Spa subjects.

Certificate III in Beauty Services (SHB30115)

After completion of the Certificate III in Beauty Services, students are equipped with the basic beauty treatment skills necessary to work in a beauty salon or department store in a variety of beauty practices. The course includes pre clinical skills, client service skills and retail selling techniques. It will teach students how to provide lash and brow techniques and waxing, but does not include facials, body treatments or massage techniques.

Upgrade Your Diploma (SHB50115)

Many people trained in beauty therapy a long time ago and have qualifications that are now not recognised. You can apply to upgrade your old qualification to the latest Diploma of Beauty Therapy SHB50115.

Attendance Options
Our courses give you the flexibility and options to choose attending either one (1) or two days (2) per week^, providing students with valuable face-to-face training. We believe this is the optimum way to learn Beauty Therapy as students are able to receive more supervision while refining their skills, access the schools resources and can build supportive relationships with other students studying with them. Most students find they are also able to commit to a part-time job on the days they do not attend the course, allowing them to finance their studies. ^ Depending on whether you choose Option 1 or 2.

Study while still at School
Many high schools now provide students with an opportunity to attend Vocational Education Training (VET) while still at school. We offer the Diploma of Beauty Therapy one day (1) a week on a Monday to specifically suit students wishing to attend through Year 11 & 12 while at school.

Selina McGaffin – Testimonial

I qualified from Demi International with a Diploma in Beauty Therapy in 2015 and then in 2017 I completed a Diploma in Remedial Massage. I really loved my time at Demi International, Ann and the Teachers were just amazing and professional. It had been well over 20 years since I last studied and the class’s and materials where just so easy to understand and the quality was just outstanding. Since qualifying from Demi International I have worked in some Fantastic well-known Spa’s including RACV and Endota Spa. With a passion of sharing my knowledge and the love of training, I also completed a Certificate IVinTraining and Assessing, which hasgiven me the opportunity to teach Diploma of Beauty Therapy at TAFE. If I had any advice to pass on to any future students, it would be to make sure you practice your skills. You must log 100 hours driving before you get your Drivers Licence, so practice on anyone who will let you! Thanks to Ann and the Teachers at Demi International you are just all AMAZING, I would not be where I am today without all you.
